How to Request Account Deletion
To delete your Kizizi Gigs account and associated data, send an email to support@kizizi.io from the email address linked to your account. Include the subject line "Account Deletion Request".
We will process your request within 30 days. You will receive a confirmation email once your account has been deleted.
What Data Is Deleted
When your account is deleted, we will delete or anonymize the following data within 30 days:
- Your profile information (name, email, phone number, bio, skills, gender, profile picture)
- Your location data
- Your device and session data
What Data Is Retained
Certain data is retained after account deletion as required by law:
- Financial and transaction records (payment/payout history) - retained as required by the Kenya Income Tax Act
- Gig postings, messages, and reviews - retained for dispute resolution, audits, and legal compliance
- Firebase Crashlytics data - retained for 90 days (Firebase's default, controlled by Google)
All retained data is stored securely and is only used for the purposes stated above.
